The English classes at the university have been very interesting, they are not so different from the classes that I had during middle school, in the sense of exercises and reviews, but the fact that the teachers are constantly changing, makes it very Dynamic, since we are learning different learning styles, each teacher has his way of teaching, some explain even the smallest details and that implies that in some way we will learn new things. The use of blogs has been an interesting methodology to try, but it is not among my favorites, I would rather have to write a story (such as a story, or a narration), with different topics and thus review the writing little by little. .

I think that what I need to improve the most in my English is listening and speaking, since I am not so good at pronunciation, and it is difficult for me to understand others when I must listen to them speak English. I plan to improve speaking by practicing a lot at home, simple sentences and other more complicated ones, to improve myself, and in the case of listening, I have been watching some movies in English, with English subtitles as well, to assimilate the sounds with the words, I have been listening to music in English too, trying to translate the lyrics as I listen, I am not that good at it, but I am progressing little by little, compared to how I was at the beginning.

I don't usually use English much in my daily life, unless I'm fooling around with virtual friends, since I met several foreign people (from Latin America) and sometimes we interact a little in English to joke around a bit, so that way I have also been practicing writing in English, although I consider that it is not enough, since in some way or another, we end up speaking in Spanish.

Post 9 > Changes to my study program

Although I have not finished my studies, I think that some changes could be made in the study plan, regarding some subjects, I do not think that these subjects are irrelevant or unnecessary, but I do think that several should be taught in a different way than the current one . In some of the subjects it seems that the teachers do not feel like teaching, and this is reflected in the performance of the students, that is something that should be changed, either by changing the teachers or they change their teaching method to one that is more attractive to your students.

So far I do not consider that the academic burden is really heavy, since if there is any conflict at the national or university level that may affect our studies, the teachers open an instance of dialogue where they reduce the academic burden as much as possible according to the current situation at that time, that benefits us a lot when trying not to feel suffocated and stressed by the academic load.

The facilities are not the most current, they need some remodeling, nothing that cannot be fixed, but the problem lies in the financing of everything, this financing is almost nil, which shows the importance given to us as a faculty and the concern that they give us at an educational level, but it could be worse, at least we have a moderately functional building that allows us to study, even if it is not the most appropriate.

Post 8 > Summer Vacations

It has been a long time since I have had summer vacations as such, my vacations usually consist of staying at home, spending time with my pets, sleeping everything that I did not sleep during the year and seeing some series that I have left pending.

The year before last, my vacation consisted of visiting my best friend from time to time, I stayed over at her house for a couple of days, we played video games and then each one watched a pending series, I watched The Untamed, a Chinese series of science fiction, and my best friend watched Haikyuu, a sports anime.

This year I had planned to spend the "summer vacation" again watching series or reading manga, perhaps using some online program to learn another language, I had pending Russian and German, which are quite complicated languages, and perhaps somewhat difficult to learn, but nothing is impossible, I just have to fight against my constant laziness to achieve it.

If the subject of the pandemic ends perhaps I could also meet my best friend again, since we had some pending things to do and I promised her that I would cook many of the things I learned to do during the quarantine, mostly sweet and spicy , so one of the plans is to visit it.

Traveling is not one of my vacation ideas, although I like to travel, currently I am not very interested in getting to know other parts of Chile since most of them I knew when I was little and traveled more than once. Travel abroad is not an option since we do not have the necessary money at home, so I prefer to simply spend my vacation at home looking at the pending things that I was putting off.

Post 7 > GPOY

I'm not usually a person who enjoys taking photos, I don't like how I look in photographs. But as was required for this post, I had to ask a friend to send me a photo of me that she had, so she gave me that one, where I am the one on the left.

That day I went out with some friends, including the one in the photo, we had not met for quite some time, so we missed seeing each other, we went to a park and talked for a while, and then we walked from the park to the mall, we had lunch together doing the odd joke and then we took a walk in the mall, looking at clothes and accessories.

I remember that we took some photos in front of mirrors and laughed at some bad jokes that one of our friends told. Then one of them said that she should go to the doctor, so the girl in the photo and I said that we would accompany her and the other girls left because they had other things to do.

We took that photo at the hospital where we went with the other friend, while we waited for her medical consultation to end, I remember that I took more photos of them after the medical visit, but I don't have them either, sadly.

It was quite a fun day, but due to the pandemic we have not met again since then.

Post 6 > Postgraduate Studies

The postgraduate study that captured my attention since I read it the first time was the University Expert in Forensic Psychological Expertise, it is studied in Valencia, Spain and the price is quite affordable compared to other postgraduate studies from the same or other universities, it interests me since it is something very close to what I wanted to study at the beginning, before entering university.

To put them a little in context, the forensic psychologist is essential both in courts and in specific services, the psychologist must have enormous social sensitivity to deal with very complex matters, ranging from guardianship and custody of children, to civil incapacitation and labor, to sexual abuse, gender violence, prediction of risk of violence or homicide, as well as the elaboration of profiles.

When I investigated on the subject, I found that not many universities had postgraduate studies dedicated to that area of ​​psychology, and that the University of Valencia was one of the few that would start implementing them from this year (when I investigated the first once, they were only in the planning process); although currently the modality is online classes due to the pandemic, perhaps when I finish my degree and my degree, the face-to-face modality will be available again and I will be able to travel to Spain, both to know the place and to be able to study the postgraduate course that interested me, and since the native language of Spain is Spanish, somehow that could make things a little easier for me, or I hope so.

Post 5 > My future job

Originally, I wanted to study medicine, so that by the end of my degree I would be titled as "Forensic Doctor", since that was my ideal job, whether it was working in the Legal Medical Service or with the PDI, I definitely did not imagine it as they tell it in cable television series like CSI or similar, I know that it must be different compared to the fiction of those series, but the subject of being forensic caught my attention a lot.

Finally, when I gave the PSU, the score only reached me for psychology, so I decided to study that, since there is also a branch of psychology that is forensic, although they are rather in charge of studying criminals and the reasons why They commit their misdeeds, in addition to helping victims to overcome their trauma in a positive way, all internally, without exits to the ground.

The topic of travel, I really do not care much, although I would like to travel the world, I would like to do it at my own pace, knowing what interests me and without the job involved, so I would prefer to travel when I am on vacation or when I retire if I save enough money. I do not have so many expectations about the salary, as long as I can survive and I can save a little, I'll be fine with that.

Taking into account that psychology is not what I originally wanted to study, the fact of having found a specialty in forensics and criminalistics has served me as sufficient motivation to continue studying, since that is the specialty that I would like to study because it has to do with branch of psychology that interests me.

Post 4 > What are you really into?

My hobby in this quarantine has been very varied, I have gone through makeup, playing with makeup with what I find at home, I have even done different styles with watercolor pencils, traditional eye shadows and multicolored eyeliners. I was also reading some books that I had stopped reading, historical or science fiction novels, since I really like to read about these topics, especially if it is about Asian culture, such as the genre Wuxia, Xianxia and Xuanhua. Once in a while, if I feel in a good mood, I could even draw a little or sing random songs that appear on my Spotify/Youtube playlist, of different genres such as trap, rap, rock, pop, k-pop, j-rock or whatever out.

Before going back to class I also started to watch series and anime, I went back to see Haikyuu which is a sports anime, and some "c-dramas" (Chinese series) and "k-dramas" (Korean series), like The Untamed and Fated To Love You. If I was very bored with everything, I would also start investigating world conspiracies, more as a hobby than as something serious, now that Anonymous returned, many of the theories that I was doing and investigating during February and part of March have become real, like the killings of some well-known celebrities and others not so well, these are quite interesting and controversial topics that are worth investigating and that I enjoy discussing with internet friends to discuss our views.

I can say that I am someone more of a home lifestyle, I like to be at home doing this kind of things before I leave home, and this time of quarantine due to the pandemic has given me the motivation to do many of the things that I did not do before for lack of time or interest.
